Design-build is a project delivery system that integrates responsibility for planning, design and construction services in a single contract, by a single responsible entity.
The Design-Build Process . . .
An effective design-builder must answer your most fundamental questions:
- Will the proposed building meet my needs?
- What construction methods and materials will be used?
- What will the building look like?
- Exactly how much will the building cost?
Opechee answers each question with specific information and state-of-the art, computer-generated visual renderings. We use the following design-build process to ensure the project will meet and exceed your expectations:
Needs Assessment: A careful analysis of your objectives is the starting point for a successful design-build project. Opechee helps you define your needs by conducting a thorough review of your existing operations and the goals for your new building. We are experienced in listening to your objectives and translating them into concrete, specific criteria for a newly constructed facility.
Proposal: Based on the needs assessment, Opechee will promptly develop a detailed proposal setting forth all of the design and construction parameters. It will include plans, drawings, and/or renderings as required to define the appearance and layout of the building. The proposal will also include detailed specifications to give you a clear understanding of the construction methods and materials to be used. The proposal will quote a guaranteed fixed price for all design and construction services.
Design and Permitting: Once you have accepted our proposal, Opechee will perform the architectural and engineering work necessary to secure the required site plan and building permits. Opechee's staff of architects, engineers, and construction managers works in close cooperation to ensure the design and permitting is completed expeditiously, accurately, and economically, with your needs foremost in mind.
Construction: Upon issuance of the required permits, Opechee will begin construction of the project. You will be assigned both a project manager and a site supervisor who will coordinate the skilled subcontractors and tradesman in completing your new facility.

construction scheduling process, which allows for overlapping of
procurement and construction, and which results in saving time and money.
